Rory Bourgeois

Rory Bourgeois is President of CUPE Local 150, City of St. Catharines outside workers, where he works as a parks operator. As a local leader, Rory fights and wins. When the Corporation tried to contract out the City’s Forestry department, Rory successfully mobilized his local union and other activist groups to defeat the motion unanimously at Council.

Rory serves with passion on both the CUPE National Political Action Committee and CUPE Ontario Political Action Committee. Locally, he organizes regular labour socials to connect labour leaders with elected politicians, making political advocacy accessible and open. As labour liaison for the St. Catharines NDP Riding Association, he connects local activists to union campaigns across labour. He always puts workers first and ensures advocacy takes place in the open, including all members. He hopes to bring these efforts province-wide as First Vice President of CUPE Ontario.
