Siobhan Pearce

Siobhan Pearce is a proud CUPE 2936 member and Developmental Services Worker who is passionate about building a stronger, more connected labour movement. With over a decade of experience serving members through leadership, advocacy, and frontline representation, she believes in standing up for workers’ rights, protecting quality public services, and ensuring every member feels heard, respected, and supported.

Siobhan has served in a variety of union leadership roles at the Local level including Unit Chair, Secretary-Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Steward, Bargaining Committee Member, Labour Relations Committee Member, Social Committee Member, and Durham Region Labour Council Delegate. She also has been in roles at the Provincial level such as serving as a 3 year CUPE Ontario Trustee and as a member of the 2021 Resolutions Committee. Through these positions, she has worked to strengthen member engagement, support solidarity actions, and advocate for fairness, accountability, and workplace safety.

Committed to solidarity and collective action, Siobhan believes strong unions create stronger communities. She is passionate about advocating for safe workplaces, equity, inclusion, and respect for frontline workers while helping ensure members have a strong voice in their union. In 2020, Siobhan was one of the main leaders in the CUPE 2936 campaign, "Include Us" which targeted the need for governments to do more for Developmental Services Workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Member-at-Large on the next CUPE Ontario Executive Board, Siobhan is committed to being approachable, engaged, and dedicated to representing members with integrity, energy, and compassion. Let's take back our house and get back to our grassroots! We are "Worth Fighting For!"
