Will Walsh

Will Walsh is a Member-at-Large and Member Organizer with CUPE Local 79. He was elected to office in March 2025, and has worked for the City of Toronto as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher since 2023. He also sits on the Toronto and York Region Labour Council as a Municipal Committee delegate and serves as ACO (Dispatch) rep on the CUPE Ontario Ambulance Committee (CACO).

Will has been organizing long before he entered CUPE, and he's glad for the opportunity to make good trouble full-time. His work has been instrumental in achieving pay parity for Toronto dispatchers in the 2025 municipal contract. He has also spearheaded multiple certification campaigns as a workplace leader, and was active in trans-solidarity work against the far-right while studying Employment Relations at the University of Toronto in 2016.
